Open Call: Applications for Oxbelly Professional Film & Television Seminars

Oxbelly organizes in collaboration with The National Film and Television School of England (NFTS) , and with the cooperation and support of the Greek Film Centre (GFC) , a series of Professional Film & TV Seminars , specifically designed to meet current needs in the audiovisual industry of Greece.

The financial incentives, the natural and historical interest of Greece, and the professionalism of Greek crews, have made our country one of the most attractive destinations in the world for film and television productions.

Oxbelly starts a seminar program in collaboration with one of the most renowned professional schools in the field, with the aim of contributing to the further strengthening of the Greek audiovisual industry.

The program is aimed at professionals who want to expand their skills, as well as people who are interested in entering the field of film and television industry.

Starting in December 2021 , the program will initially offer the following three online seminars: Production Co-ordinators , Post Production Supervision and Budgeting on Movie Magic , which will be delivered by NFTS instructors.

Production Co-ordinators
3-day intensive, online seminar / 1-3 December 2021/15 participants
The aim of the seminar is to familiarize participants with diaries, clearances, cast contracts, wrap reports and other necessary steps for the proper planning and coordination of a production. The seminar is delivered by Carolina Grisorio.

Post Production Supervision
3-day intensive, online seminar / 6-8 December 2021/15 participants
The object of the seminar is the analysis and examination of issues of proper planning (scheduling) and organization of the post production workflow. The seminar is delivered by Gemma Nicholson.

Budgeting on Movie Magic
1-day intensive, online seminar / 7 December 2021/12 participants
It is aimed at those who want to learn how to use Movie Magic Budgeting to its maximum potential. The seminar is delivered by Dewi Griffiths.

To participate in the seminars, previous service in film or television productions is desirable, although not necessary. Applicants must be over 18 years old and have a good knowledge of English, as all courses will be conducted in English.

About Oxbelly and Faliro House
Oxbelly was founded in 2015 by Christos V. Konstantakopoulos (Faliro House), with the aim of supporting audiovisual professionals.
From 2016 to 2018, Oxbelly hosted Faliro House | Sundance Mediterranean Screenwriters Workshop and in 2019 launched Oxbelly Screenwriters and Directors Labs. The Labs are under the artistic direction of Athena Rachel Tsangari (TRIGONOMETRY) and offer cinematographers from all over the world the opportunity to work on the script of their first or second feature film, as well as to direct a scene from their screenplay, under mentoring their experienced colleagues. Faliro House was founded in 2008 and is active in the field of Film, Television and digital content production, with Greek productions such as THE BALANCE OF THE HOLE HEART by Giannis Economidis, DAYS AND NIGHTS OF DIMITRAS K. of Evas P.E.O Tsioli, SUNTAN by Argyris Papadimitropoulos, MISS VIOLENCE by Alexandros Avranas, ATTENBERG by Athena Rachel Tsangaris, and DIGGER by George Grigorakis (representation of Greece at the 2022 Oscars).
