Filming season 3 of the Emmy-winning Israeli series “Tehran”, on behalf of APPLE TV+, begins soon in Athens. Directed by Daniel Syrkin, filming will take place in neighborhoods and central parts of the city.
The first two seasons of “Tehran”, also filmed in Athens, received excellent reviews, while the series won the award for best drama series at the International Emmy Awards 2021.
The filming of Season 3 and the worldwide distribution of the series are expected to contribute significantly to the promotion of Athens abroad, as well as to the attraction of new international film productions. More than a hundred audiovisual productions have been shot in Athens in the last three years, with the contribution of the Athens Film Office of the Municipality of Athens and EATA.
